About Underseaventures
Underseaventures is a specialized web platform belonging to the tour operator Pura Colombia Mindful Travel for diving trips in the Eastern Pacific from Mexico to Ecuador and the Colombian Caribbean. Since 2008 we are specialized in international diving tours with focus on sharks, pelagic fish and land tours in Colombia with focus on Medellin-Antioquia.
The company is headed by its Swiss founder and owner Arthur Portmann. Our professional team has over 15 years experience in the international tourism and diving industry. We have made it our mission to provide you with professional advice and an unforgettable travel experience.
Our diving trips focus on the American eastern Pacific and the Caribbean and Land Travel add-on tours wich we organize together with our partner agencies in the corresponding regions.

Arthur Portmann

Arthur is Swiss. Fascinated by the beauty of Colombia he decided to stay and founded 2008 the diving and travel agency Pura Colombia Travel and Dive wich he is running together with his wife Eliana.
During this time he worked as a freelance dive guide for the MV Yemaya Liveaboard and made about 1000 dives in Malpelo- and Cocos island. As a tour guide for German, English and French tour operators such as Hauser Trekking Travel, World Insight, KE Adventures and Viventura he has been travelling large parts of Colombia. Before 2008 Arthur has worked for 10 years in the international recreational diving industry and dived in the Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean.

Eliana Franco, Colombian, married to Arthur, finished her tourism studies in 2006. She is a passionate diver, loves animals and nature. Her tasks in Underseaventures include reservations and internal processes. Of course, she is always happy when she gets some time off for traveling and new dive sites exploration.
Licensing: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Technical license in the hotel and tourism IME Medellin
