ABOUT GALAPAGOS SKY |
The MV Galapagos Sky is a 100 feet / 33 Meters luxury liveaboard vessel offering since 2001 quality diving safaris to the Galapagos island, including Darwin and Wolf and 3 landbased excursions.
The cruises consist generally of 7 nights with 5 ½ diving days offering 17 to 19 dives. Furthermore 10 and 14 nights trips with 8½ and 12½ days of diving are available. On Galapagos Sky up to 4 dives a day at Wolf and Darwin and between 1-3 dives per day in the central islands, 1 night dive and 3 land excursions during the cruise are offered.
Galapagos Sky offers space for 16 divers accommodated in 8 cabins and the professional crew is making all efforts to cater the guests with 5 star service. Excellent food is served; a mix between local and international cuisine.
Living areas offer lots of space and are embellished with beautiful teak panels. To view fotos and videos the main salon is equipped with a large television and full entertainment system. Guests find a onboard boutique for souvenir purchases and a bar on board. Sun lovers will enjoy the large sundeck with deckchairs and hammocks.

ACCOMODATION ON GALAPAGOS SKY |
The vessel is equipped with 8 privat en-suite cabins with either 2 twin or one king size bed. The cabins include individual air conditional control, private head/shower, mirrored cabinet and wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer, biodegradable shampoos, conditioners and soaps.Master Stateroom cabins 1-4 are located on the upper also called the Dolphin deck and have two twin beds (that can be joined together), private facilities, window view, mirrored cabinet, wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer, biodegradeble toiletries, fresh towels daily, air conditioning and volume controls.
Deluxe Stateroom cabins 5-8 are located on lower, also called the Iguana deck and have two twin beds, private facilities, Port light view, mirrored cabinet, wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer, biodegradeble toiletries, fresh towels daily, air conditioning and volume controls.
DIVING ON GALAPAGOS SKY |
Galapagos is an open ocean dive destination and strong currents, changing visibilities and cold water are no exception. To participate in Galapagos diving activities you should have proof of at least 50 dives, experience in drift dives and be certified as at least Advanced Open Water Diver.
Galapagos Sky offers up to 4 dives per day at Wolf and Darwin, 1-3 dives per day in the central islands and 1 night dive during the expedition cruises. Each group will be guided by a certified expert dive guide and naturalist guide certified by the Galapagos National park service.
Dive equipment: Divers are required to bring their own dive equipment, including: Mask, fins and snorkel, regulator, depth and pressure gauges, and dive computer, BCD, Wet suit 5 to 7mm or dry suit, hood and gloves, Open water diving certification. Of course Underwater video and camera are welcome
Safety Equipment: Each diver has to be equipped with obligatory safety items like:
Surface marker buoy, Dive alert or other audible surface signaling device, Nautilus Lifeline radio and GPS locater will be provided on board to each diver.
DIVING INFRASTRUCTURE |
The dive deck on Galapagos Sky offers plenty of space for the divers items and equipment. Rins tank and showers are available to clean the gear. Diving takes place from dive tenders (zodiacs)
Standard tanks are 80 cu ft/ 12 liter Aluminium tanks with INT Valves. DIN adaptors are available. Upgrade to 15 liter tank for an additional fee of USD 60 per charter available.
Rental gear: Scubapro. Full rental gear can be provided including BCD, Reg and Gauge set, Computer, 7mm Wet suit, Hood, Fins/Booties, Mask and Snorkel. Please note that it is not possible to rent or buy gloves, torches/underwater lights or dive knives on Galapagos Sky.

Sunday (Embarkation day)
Arrival with your Avianca flight 1636 in San Cristobal, boarding on Galapagos Sky and Cruise start.
Isla Lobos- Check out dive with Galapagos Sea Lions and Fur seals
Monday
• Bartolome Land walk and if conditions permit snorkeling with penguins
• Cousins Rock with 2 dives, beautiful wall dive where you have the opportunity to see small but interesting fauna like sea horses, frog fish, scorpion fishes and octopus. Schooling Barracudas and scalloped hammerhead sharks may cross our way.
Tuesday-Thursday- Wolf & Darwin
After traveling during night arrival around 9am in Wolf.
• Tuesday 4 dives at Wolf including night dive
• Wednesday 4 dives at Darwin
• Thursday 3 dives from wich 2 dives at Darwin and 1 afternoon dive at Wolf
Good chances for sharks. Schooling hammerheads, Silky and Galapagossharks. The boat departs to the central islands
Friday
• Cabo Douglas 1 dive with Marine iguanas
• Punta Vicente Roca 2 dives. A Panga tour is offered if the time allows it. Wall dive where you can see soft corals, black coral, sponges, the fantastic mola mola or sun fish, bullhead sharks, red lipped bat fish etc.
Saturday
• Northeast tip of Isla Pinzon/Islote Dumb- 1 dive, good place for larger animals like mantas, eagle rays and various shark species
• Puerto Ayora/Highlands tour, Galapagos tortoises and visit of Puerto Ayora.
Galapagos Sky returns to San Cristobal
Sunday
Arrival in San Cristobal and following visit of the Interpretation Center and last shopping opportunity.
Departure late morning.
LAND EXCURSIONS
3 Land excursions are included in the Galapagos Sky dive safari itinerary.
Monday Visit of Bartolome island where the guests have the opportunity to climb to the top of the hill and enjoy an amazing view. Snorkeling with penguins if conditions allow.
Saturday Tour to tthe Highlands of Santa Cruz to observe the Galapagos Tortoises in their natural environment + and visit to Puerto Ayora.
Sunday Land excursion at San Cristobal where the guests will visit the Interpretation Center showing an interesting human history of Galapagos, afterward town walk where the last shopping is done.
FLIGHTS |
The guests must arrive in Quito or Guayaquil no later than Saturday prior to the standart 7 night cruises (always Sunday to Sunday). The connection flight will be early morning on Sunday to meet M/V Galapagos Sky. Airport transfers in Guayacil or Quito are not included.
We recommend to choose Avianca for the domestic flight connection. Galapagos Sky offers special services for this flight connections.
Please note that only guests booking Avianca flight 1636 with us or Galapagos Sky directly will be provided with airport check in assistance by the local partner agency Ecoventura and the possibility to prepay transit card and park entrance fees. Guests arriving with other flights need to check in by themselves and make the queues for transit card and park fees.

Prices for return tickets range from USD 440 to USD 550 depending on the season. Guests should be at least 1 hour and half before flight departure in the airport.
Baggage limits: The airline allows one checked suitcase (up to 50 lbs./ 23 kg and up to 62″/ 158 cm) and one carry-on bag (up to 22 lbs./ 10 kg and up to 45″/ 115 cm) per passenger. All overweight, over sized and excess baggage will be charged additional and are checked subject to space available.
