Sea Hunter operated in the past as a support vessel for commercial diving operations on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. The special design adapted to long distance travel and challenging conditions in the open sea and the comfortable interior design of a modern dive vessel convert the 115 feet (35 meter) long Sea Hunter into an excellent dive boat for the East pacific region and Cocos Island.

SEA HUNTER BOAT SPECIFICATIONS

Type: 2-engine Steel vessel with teak work deck.

Length/Beam/Draft: 115ft/36m- 26ft/8.1m-8ft/2.5m.

Engines: twin GM 16V92 / 1200 total hp.

Cruising speed/maximum speed: 9.5 knots/10 knots.

Available Voltage: 110/220 VAC 60 Hz 3-phase 208VAC 12 VCD.

Water tank: 15,000 gallons (60 tons), 1,800 gallons/day water maker.

Navigation: 3 GPS, 2 Radars-48 mile, 2 recording fathometers Radio Direction Finder SIMRAD Auto pilot.

Communication: 2 VHF radios 3 handheld VHF radios SSB radio (SEA 222) Multy-system televisions, CD stereo and DVD Player, Multimedia Destop Computer Starlit phone.

Facilities: Main salon including slide shows, DVDs, games, refrigerator with soft drinks, beer and ice. Sun deck and spaceous bow section.

Food: Varied and delicious dishes, mix of American and local meals, lots of fresh fruites, salads, fresh fish, chicken and beef.

This vessel offers 6 double cabins, 2 triple cabins and 2 suits all with carpets, privat bath with shower and toilette, air condition The suits are additionaly equipped with large windows, table with chair and a flatscreen with DVD.  Total capacity of 20 passengers.

Rental gear: SCUBAPRO: Regulators, BCD, Wetsuits, Nitrox Dive computer, Dive light, 15 Liter Steel Tanks.

Safety: Two 25 person life-rafts, DAN 02 emergency kits are present on all the skiffs as well as on the mothership, Safety Kit that includes an extra-large orange dive sausage, a powerful storm whistle and a special safety light. 20 EPIRB units for diver location.

DIVE OPERATION

Sea Hunter offers well designed diver facilities: private camera/strobe storage shelves with individual 110 volts AC power, individual gear storage, a private dryer for clients towels, bathing suits etc.

Skiffs: two fiberglass skiffs of 22' and 24'. Each skiff operates with no more than 9 divers 

Tanks: 30 tanks 80 cu.ft Aluminium, advanced reservation is required for the 100 cu.ft. Steel tanks

Technical Diving: Full oxygen, nitrox and rebreather service. Passengers must bring their own rebreathers.

10, 11 or 12 nights to Cocos island, from/to Puntarenas. Travel time to Cocos takes about 33 hours.
