The 107 feet Avalon I offers luxurious facilities on 4 decks and accomodates 18 guests in 8 cabins. The 6 nights journey to Jardines de la Reina (Gardens of the Queen) marine national park starts every Saturday at the port of Jucaro. The travel time to the national park takes about 5 hours.

The ship leaves nothing to be desired, except that there is no Nitrox is available. Whoever preferes to dive with enriched air may choose the Avalon II.

The spacious and luxurious Salon of Avalon I features a beautiful oak wood interior, air-conditioning, entertainment center and PC station. On the sun deck our guests may enjoy a beautiful panoramic view on the Caribbean sea and at night time at the stars while sitting in the jacuzzi or one of the sun loungers.

The meals on board are a delicious mixture of Cuban and Italian cuisine and are served in the spacious, air-conditioned dining room with sofas or at the open air dining area on the upper deck. Also located on the upper deck is a nice cocktail bar where the guests may enjoy some fresh and tasty drinks.

All cabins are equipped with windows or portholes, warm water, towels and soap, reading lamps, cabinets, air conditioning, TV and DVD player. Mains connections are round and flat 2-pole 110 or 220 volts plug ins, electricity is available all around the clock.

Avalon I offers 2 x 3 bed cabins with window (1 single bed on floor level beside 2 bunk single beds) with privat bath on the main deck, 1 x cabin with 2 single beds, porthole and 3 x cabins each with a king size bed, porthole all with private bathrooms on the lower deck. Furthermore, 2 x cabins with bunk beds, shared bathroom and window on the upper deck.

The well designed dive deck features camera table, showers and rins tanks. The equipment is stored on the dive boats. The 2 dive tenders are each equipped with 2 x 150 HP Yamaha outboarders, life jackets, emergency oxygen and radio. Now 4 dives daily are available.

Cressi and Aqualung rental gear is available. No nitrox

Dive insurance including emergency evacuation and decompression chamber treatment is mandatory.

The vessel will be on dry dock from October 7 2017 to December 28 2018

Single room supplement: 65% on double room rate


Only cash payments are accepted on board of Avalon I. We recommend to bring Euro and there is a 10% surcharge on US Dollar currency exchange.


All Jardines de la reina (Gardens of the Queen) diving cruises start on saturday and end on friday. The guests must arrive 1 day before boat departure in Habana because the transfer on Saturday takes place early at 4am. Meeting point will either be at the Habana central park or a previously announced hotel in Habana. A representant fo Avalon will pick up the guests and accompany the group during the 5 to 6 hour transfer to Jucaro Port. After embarkment the ship willl be traveling for approx 3 hours to Jardines de la Reina. (Gardens of the Queen).

Please note that you have to stay at least 1 night in Habana after the last trip day, because you arrive late at 9pm in Jardines de la reina.
